Electric Brakes Keep Workers Safe
Workplace safety is a subject that is given a lot of thought in the United States. People, by nature, want to make sure that the activities they are partaking in in order to make a living are not going to result in some sort of injury. An injury sustained in the workplace is not only bad for the worker that it happens to, it is also bad for the company in general. Reducing the frequency of injuries is in every employers best interest and, in relation to the world of heavy machinery, is even more important. Working with heavy machinery greatly increases the risk that an injury in the workplace will occur, however, through the use of our electric brakes, we here at AmbiTech feel as though employers can go a long way in making sure that their employees’ safety is as guaranteed as possible. In today’s post, we are going to continue to go over some of the machines that utilize our braking systems. Keep reading below to learn more.
A Safe Workplace is a Happy Workplace
No one wants to get up every day, go to work, and worry about whether or not they are going to come home with all of their fingers. The level of safety that our systems help to provide makes sure that workers are confident in their machinery and, even better, allow them to know exactly when a machine has ceased operation. Below, we have listed out a few more machines that make use of our brakes.
- Punch Press: Punch presses are used the world over for a variety of applications. This machine is used to cut holes in material ranging from fabrics all the way to metal sheets. These machines can be small, hand-operated models or, in more industrial applications, can be CNC operated and programmed to punch intricate patterns from material sheets. Our braking systems help to make sure that punch presses don’t punch when they should be resting. These machines exert hundreds to thousands of pounds of pressure and, if one is not properly prevented from operating, the injuries they cause can be severe.
- Conveyors: Conveyors are used in many different industries to help workers quickly move products and materials from one work area to another. But, as we all know, sometimes machines, especially factory automated machines, can run into some problems. Our electric brakes allow workers to stop conveyor belts instantly, ensuring that products and materials are not damaged if an issue occurs that causes a backup in the production line. Additionally, these stops allow the conveyor to be halted instantly in the scenario that a worker gets a piece of clothing stuck in the belt.
